The marine traffic in the Port of Aden has witnessed a remarkable increase, and the Port achieved record numbers during the past two years 2019-2020 , as dry cargo handled in Ma'alla berths exceeded (5) million tons, which is the largest number in the history of the Port.
As for containers, the year 2021 started a promising beginning by achieving a record at Aden Container Terminal, handling 50,442 TEUs during January 2021, an increase of 60% compared to January of 2020, where it reached 31,614 TEUs. This is the first time in several years that this number of containers are handled within a month at the terminal.
