Captain Sami Saeed Farea, the Executive Chairman of Yemen Gulf of Aden Ports Corporation, Chairman of the Board has met in his office on Sunday, September 29th, 2013, Her Excellency Ambassador Bettina Muchyt,Head of the European Union at the Republic of Yemen within her exploratory visit to the Port of Aden.
The Chairman explained during the meeting that the leadership of the Corporation and the Ministry of Transport has ambitions and aspirations to restore the Port of Aden rule and position among the ports of the region. Pointing out that the Corporation has also a number of vital and important ongoing projects and also projects to be implemented during the coming period which will contribute to the advancement of the port and at the same time provide job opportunities to many young people in Aden.
For her part, the Ambassador expressed her great pleasure to visit the historic Port of Aden pointing out that her visit to Aden was excellent and enjoyable to know a lot about the features of this city and its people, noting the need to pay more attention to the city and its historic port for their vital and important role by supporting investment and investors and provide all facilities necessary for them to work and remove any obstacles or impediments stand in front of them in order to encourage them to promote the city and its port.
The meeting was attended by Eng. / Abdullah Fudhail , the Deputy Chairman , Mr. Mohammed Alawi Omzrabah Deputy Chairman for Administrative Affairs and Mr. Ahmed Muthanna Ahmed Al- Ammari, General Manager of Planning, Marketing and Information.
Then the European Ambassador continued her exploratory visit with Captain / Sami Saeed Farea Chairman of Aden Company for port development to Aden Container Terminal, where they were received by Eng. Mohammed Abdulwasa, the Director General of the Terminal and his deputy, who briefed the Ambassador on the nature of the functions of the Terminal and the most prominent activities and projects that have been achieved since Aden Company for port development started managing the Terminal , including the shipping lines that have been restored again, thanks to all the good efforts which have been made either by the leadership of the company or the Ministry in general.
