Inauguration of the Transit Shipping Line “EVERGREEN” at the Port of Aden

Aden Container Terminal has inaugurated on Saturday, the 26th of April 2014, the new international transit shipping line EVERGREEN with the arrival of the ship “EVER STEADY” for the first time in three years carrying 8000 TEUs on board.

This inauguration ceremony was attended by a number of officials at YGAPC, headed by Eng./ Abdullah Mohammed Fudhail Deputy Chairman at YGAPC and Eng. / Mohamed Abdul-wasa Mohamed, the GM of Aden Company for Ports Development and Mohammad Omar Bamashmoos Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce in Aden and a number of businessmen .

Captain / Ali Ahmed Ali, Deputy GM of Hodiedah Shipping co. has clarified that this inauguration is an economic step towards updating the container terminal in transit containers, and pointed to the historical and economic position of Aden in the area of reception of transit goods on regional and international level , which is considered the nearest international shipping lane that connects international ports .

It is noted that the arrived ship is the fourth ship in terms of international shipping specifications and occupies the fourth place globally.
