The Executive Chairman, Chairman of the Board of Directors of YGAPC, Mr. / Mohammed Alawi Omzarbah, stated that the Corporation has signed an agreement with the Free Zone Authority on Wednesday, 02/11/2015 under the patronage of the Governor of Aden Dr. / Abdul Aziz Bin Habtoor.
Issuance of a Final Work License for Aden Ports Development Company
The Executive Chairman, Chairman of the Board of Directors of YGAPC, Mr. / Mohammed Alawi Omzarbah, stated that the Corporation has signed an agreement with the Free Zone Authority on Wednesday, 02/11/2015 under the patronage of the Governor of Aden Dr. / Abdul Aziz Bin Habtoor.
The Executive Chairman clarified that the minutes of the agreement was signed between Yemen Gulf of Aden Ports Corporation and the Free Zone Authority in the presence of Aden Free Zone Chairman Dr. / Abdul Jalil Al-Shuaibi on the formation of a technical committee from both sides to develop a map that shows water and land areas required for future expansion and development projects of the Port.
The Free Zone agreed on the Issuance of a final work license for Aden Ports Development Company owned by Yemen Gulf of Aden Ports Corporation under which the company will get a lot of privileges, including tax and customs exemptions guaranteed under the Free Zone Law.
The meeting approved a number of resolutions notably the formation of a committee to develop a map that determines the lands allocated for the Development projects of the Port of Aden and the Container Terminal as well as the official registration of Aden Ports Development Company.
During the meeting, the Governor of Aden noted that the agreement is a significant progress for the Port and the Free Zone and will provide sufficient opportunity for further development and cooperation between YGAPC and the Free Zone Authority.
