Residential Land allocations for ACT Employees

December 13, 2015

9 December 2015 – In a meeting held in Aden Free Zone Authority between The Chairman of Aden Ports Development Company (APDC), Mr. Mohammed Alwai Emzarbah and Acting Chairman of Aden Free Zone Authority (AFZ),

Mr. Hassan Hayeed, The approval was given for allocating residential land for the employees of Aden Container Terminal and instruction was directed to the concerned section in the AFZ to start prepare the allocated area according to the previous directions of H.E Prime Minister's decree dated 25 March 2015 regarding the allocation of residential land to the APDC – ACT employees within the Free zone area, which comes as an appreciation from the political leadership to the effective role of the APDC employees in supporting the commercial and economical movements and flows in the City of Aden and the sustainability of commercial traffic of the container terminal which is the backbone of the City's economy.

However, the positive role that the APDC employees have played and the punctuality that they have shown during the critical period of the aggression on the City of Aden as well as the resumption of the normal commercial activity in terminal since the liberation of the City.

This step comes as a result of the pursuit of APDC Management and the intensive follow-up for getting the approval of the allocation of the residential land for the company employees since the company taking over of the Management and Operations of Aden container terminal in September 2012.
