Ma'alla Wharf is Under Government Security Forces Protection

January 3, 2016

YGAPC Mr. Mohamed Alawi Omzarbah believes that handing over the task of protecting Ma'alla Wharf to government forces would contributes strongly to its prosperty and is considered a step in the right direction that would enhance the activity of the commercial port.

The Chairman said in a statement to "Aden Al-Ghad" newspaper on Saturday, January 2, 2016 that Ma'alla Wharf and Aden Container Terminal became under government security forces which will encourage a lot of international shipping lines to return back and use the Port of Aden. The Chairman expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the resistance at Ma'alla, who contributed to the hand over process, explaining that the lack of government forces protection caused the reluctance of a number of international shipping lines from using the Port of Aden in the past months.
