Terminal Officials at the Port of Aden has revealed a new expansion plan that includes the reoperation of Ma'alla Container Terminal after more than four years stoppage.
According to the letter issued by the leadership of the Corporation which was addressed to Shipping Agents, the Management confirmed the readiness of MCT to receive container ships, after years of receiving small vessels loaded with pre-requisites of construction, etc.. According to the letter, the first agents who apply for using MCT berths would enjoy special privileges. This move reflects an expansion in business activity at the Port of Aden in the recent previous months.
