The Container Terminal at the Port of Aden has witnessed on 11/04/2016 an active loading/unloading movement by receiving Al-Rain ship of United Arab Company and the ship Kota Nizar of PIL Singaporean lines
which will both discharge and load a shipment of more than 3,500 TEU.
This is the second visit of Al-Rain ship to the Port of Aden, which will be followed by weekly visits to the Port. The joining of Arab Company to Port customers would increase the regional competition to attract these shipping lines for Yemeni domestic market customers, which will reflect positively in reducing shipping fees as well as reducing the time period of transferring goods from the Far East to the Port of Aden.
The Port of Aden witnessed growing activities recently in all its service sectors, especially the preparations of Ma'alla Container Terminal to receive container ships to activate the terminal and attract part of the growing activity of containers traffic.
