Under the patronage of Dr. Muhammad Alawi Amzerba, the Executive Chairman of YGAPC, a training course in the field of Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) was concluded on Thursday, December 30, 2021 in Aden port control tower, the port officer’s department, for maritime traffic staff, during which they were acquainted for five days with an agreed safety procedures Internationally, including types of equipment and communication protocols used to increase safety and facilitate the rescue of ships, as well as the systems that make up the scheme. The system aims to alert in case of distress, coordinate in search and rescue, and broadcast marine safety information and general communications. At the end of the course, the certificates were handed over by Captain Adel Mahmoud Ali Shamsan, Director General of the Maritime Training Center, and Captain Hani Moti, Director of Marine Traffic Department of the Port Officer's Department, wishing the participants success and excellence in their careers.
