The technical and engineering team specialized in the maintenance of boats, marine tugboats, equipment and machinery in the Technical Department at YGAPC carried out major maintenance work for the Tugboat "DHU HIRAB" on the main slipway, through re-maintenance of the propulsion and steering system, replacement of iron plates for the entire hull surface, painting and maintenance of all operational systems machinery, auxiliary equipment and cooling systems for sea water.
All of these works were carried out under the supervision of the Director General of the Technical Department, Eng. Mohammad Shaif, and under direct supervision of Eng/ Mohammad Saleh, who explained the importance of maintenance work to maintain the locomotive’s full readiness, the continuity of its operation as required in the port, and its continued service for a longer period.
The technical team also maintained the corporation's fire , which had been suspended for a while, as all the internal parts of the water pump were maintained, and some worn out parts were manufactured to restore them to service.
These works come among the priorities of the Corporation's leadership in maintaining and rehabilitating the Corporation's marine and land parts in order to preserve its readiness and continuity of work.
