Captain / Sami Saeed Farea, Executive Chairman of the Corporation has met a Qatari delegation chaired by Mr . Mansoor Hamoud Director of Qatari Prime Minister Office for (Economic Affairs),
accompanied by Mr. Nabil Buainain Executive Director of the New Port in Qatar and Mr. Walid Abdullah Barakat, the Designing Director of (Wayar) Inc. During the meeting, the Executive Chairman clarified the importance of developing the Port of Aden and obtaining the necessary funding for the implementation of its vital projects which will in turn contribute to the restoration of the Port international Position.
Then the Qatari delegation has paid an exploratory visit, accompanied by the Executive Chairman to the Port of Ma'alla and Aden Container Terminal. Captain Sami explained during the visit the ongoing preparations for the operation of Aden Container Terminal after receipt from DP World in addition to watching a presentation on the Terminal since its establishment in the presence of the Deputy Executive Chairman of the Corporation Engineer / Abdullah Fudail and the General Manager of the Terminal Engineer / Mohamed Abdul-wasa.
