Preparations at the Port of Aden for the reception of Cement Manufacturing Ship

Captain Shafea Hariri, General Manager of Wharves and Squares Dept. at the Port of Aden has clarified the ongoing preparations at the Port (Ma’alla Wharves) to receive the ship SescCement-1 which belongs to a Yemeni investor

for the launch of his business which is the first of its kind in the Republic of Yemen that involves manufacturing cement and packaging it at sea by a high-tech moving cement plant, the cement would be transferred after packaging directly to the wharves of the Port of Aden to reach the local markets.

Captain Shafea has expressed his thanks and appreciation for the support of the leadership of the Port of Aden for such business activities, which in turn will enhance the competitive position and contribute to economic and employment improvements, that will positively reflect the developments of commercial activities, especially in the construction sector after the events in which the city of Aden has passed through and affected its business activities and services.

Ma’alla wharves is expected to receive half a million tons per year of packed cement.
